# Create an AI moderated study
Once you've created a Dscout project, you can create a new AI moderated study. You can either create a new study from scratch or duplicate an existing study and modify it.

**Tip:** Already conducted a moderated interview study? You can scale it to hear from even more participants with an AI moderated study. Turn the questions you already asked yourself into an unmoderated study. ### Create a new AI moderated study
If you want to create a new study from scratch—or if you're building one for the first time—you'll do so from within your Dscout project.
**To create a new AI moderated study:**

Click **Create study** in the top-right corner of your project. The Create something new modal is displayed.

Under **AI moderator**, click **Create**.

Select a **recruitment approach**. Then, click **Continue**. For more information, see [Recruitment options in an AI moderated study](/ai-moderated-studies/what-are-ai-moderated-studies/recruitment-options-in-an-ai-moderated-study.md).

If auto-recruiting, select a **target country**. Then, click **Continue**.

Enter a **study title**. Then, click **Create study**.

**Note:** This title will be visible to participants, so choose one that is representative of the study but doesn't give away your research objectives. To add a private title, click **Add an internal study name**.

Now, your new study opens in the builder. Here, you can customize its settings on the **Overview** tab, add screener questions on the **Screener** tab (if auto-recruiting), and build your study questions on the **AI moderator** tab. ### Duplicate an AI moderated study
If you have an existing AI moderated study you want to use as a starting point for a new study, you can duplicate it. There are two ways to duplicate a study: either by first locating the study itself or by searching for it from the **Create something new** modal.
**To duplicate an AI moderated study within a project:**

Find the study you want to duplicate. Click the **Options** icon in the top-right corner of the study tile.

Select **Duplicate**.

Select one of the following options:
* **Duplicate and modify study setup:** Copies the study's questions but allows you to modify the recruitment approach.
* **Duplicate:** Copies the study exactly as-is, including the recruitment approach.

**To duplicate an AI moderated study from the Create something new modal:**

Click **Create study** in the top-right corner of your project. The Create something new modal is displayed.

Under **AI moderator**, click **Create**.

Select **Duplicate an existing study**. A list of studies across your Dscout projects is displayed.

Search for the AI moderated study you want to duplicate and select it.

Now, your study has been duplicated. You can give it a new name in the top-left corner, adjust your questions on the **Screener** or **AI moderator** tabs, or launch it to start gathering insights.
