When participating in a Live desktop session, you may be asked to share your mobile phone screen to discuss a mobile app, phone behavior, or other mobile-related task; this is sometimes referred to as screencasting, screen mirroring, streaming, tethering, or Airplay (for iOS users only). Tap the device you'll be streaming from below to follow our instructions for sharing your phone screen in a Live desktop session!

Mirror your iPhone to a computer (Airplay)

  1. Connect your iPhone or iPad to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV, AirPlay-compatible smart TV, or Mac.
  2. Open Control Center:
    • On iPhone X or later: Swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen.
    • On iPhone 8 or earlier or iOS 11 or earlier: Swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen.
  3. Tap Screen Mirroring.
  4. Select your computer from the list.
  5. If an AirPlay passcode appears on your computer, enter the passcode on your iPhone.
  6. Begin screensharing in your Live session; be sure to select the option to share your entire screen to ensure your Airplay screencast is captured!

Disclaimer: Airplay permissions must be set to all users on the same network. (System Settings > General > AirDrop & Handoff > Allow AirPlay for: Anyone on the Same Network)
