Frequently asked questions

What are question banks and why should I use them?

Question banks are a way to save your frequently used questions for reuse in future research. Question banks help with consistent collaboration between colleagues and the democratization of research. By banking questions that align with your organization’s best practices, you will speed up the research progress, ensure consistency across missions, and increase confidence in the quality of insights you receive.

Where will I find question banks?

Question banks will initially be available in Express (on the recruit tab) and Recruit (on the qualify tab). Keep in mind that this will only apply to recruiting with dscout participants and not adding from a previous screener or your own participants. We will be expanding question banks into more areas soon!

Who can save questions to a question bank?

Researchers and account owners can save questions to a question bank.

Who can delete questions saved in a question bank?

Banked questions can be deleted by the author of the question. Workspace leads can delete questions in the workspaces they lead. If you need to delete a question and don’t have permission, reach out to the author or your account owner.

Who can use question banks?

Anyone with the ability to build research can use banked questions: researchers, contributors, and account owners. (If your access looks different, you may use legacy roles. For accounts using legacy roles, account members, account managers, and account owners can use banked questions.)

Banking a question

When creating a question in Express (on the Recruit tab) or Recruit (on the Qualify tab), click the ellipses menu on the question, then click “Save question.” Follow the prompts to give the question a name and decide where to save it. Questions can be saved to the account, which means that all members on the account can see/use it, or at the workspace level, which means that only those in the workspace can see/use it.
