Google Chrome is the only browser that is compatible with desktop parts of dscout Diary missions, so you'll need to install it in order to complete desktop parts of your mission.

In order to participate in Diary missions with desktop parts, you need to install our Google Chrome Diary extension, which is a small software program we built that allows you to answer Diary mission questions from your desktop or laptop computer, including capturing videos, photos and screen recordings.
Diary missions with desktop parts often require you to capture videos, photos, or screen recordings! You'll need a laptop/desktop with a working camera and microphone in order to complete a Diary mission with desktop parts.

- If you are running macOS Catalina — version 10.15 — ensure that Chrome is granted access to the new system-level Screen Recording permission
