# Export Dscout data to HeyMarvin

Dscout lets you analyze your data directly in the platform. However, if your team uses HeyMarvin to analyze data across missions or to store data for future analysis, you can easily export your data from Dscout and import it to your HeyMarvin project.

**For guidance on getting your Dscout study data into HeyMarvin, select your study type below:**

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Usability tests" %}
Dscout usability tests capture full session recordings as well as transcripts of participant responses. You can export both of these directly from your study and import them together into HeyMarvin. HeyMarvin will automatically map your media files to the corresponding participant for you.

{% hint style="info" %}
It is not currently possible to import card sort questions from Dscout into HeyMarvin.
{% endhint %}

#### Export data from Dscout

To start, you’ll export your usability test responses from Dscout, including both the transcripts (in a **.csv** file) and the full session recordings (in a **.zip** file).

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
In Dscout, navigate to the **Responses** tab of your usability test.

Exports may take some time depending on the amount of data in your study. A progress modal will be displayed when your export is ready. Click **Download** in the modal to download your files.
{% endhint %}
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Now, your entry data and full session recordings are downloaded to your computer. These are the files you’ll upload directly to HeyMarvin in the next section.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.dscout.com/integrations/export-dscout-data-to-heymarvin.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
