# Add participants to an interview study

Invitations to your study are sent automatically when you launch. But first, you’ll need to add the participants you want to invite. You have several options for adding participants to an interview study, so refer to the sections below for more information on each.

{% hint style="info" %}
If you want to recruit participants from outside of Dscout, you can do so using a study webpage. Enabling a study webpage lets you share a link with prospective participants they can use to sign up for your study. For more information, see [Enable a webpage for an interview study](/interview-studies/create-an-interview-study/enable-a-webpage-for-an-interview-study.md).
{% endhint %}

## Add from Dscout screener

If you’ve found participants using a Dscout screener, you can add them directly to your interview study. You can do so either from the screener itself or from within your interview study.

{% hint style="warning" %}
You can only add participants from screeners within the same project as your study.
{% endhint %}

**To add participants from within your interview study:**

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Navigate to the **Setup** tab of your study. Then, select **Participants**.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.dscout.com/interview-studies/create-an-interview-study/add-participants-to-an-interview-study.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
