Troubleshoot the Salesforce integration

If you run into issues when using the Salesforce integration, refer to the errors below for advice on how to resolve them:

A Sync Error notification is displayed on the Integrations page with the tooltip: Panel is not set, please re-configure and select a Panel.

The Target panel in the configured sync has been removed.

To resolve, open the Configure sync modal, then verify the selected Target panel still exists in your Private Panels account (or create/assign a new one).

A Sync Error notification is displayed on the Integrations page with the tooltip: Contact List is not set, please re-configure and select a Contact List.

The Salesforce list in the configured sync has been removed.

To resolve, open the Configure sync modal, then verify the selected Salesforce list still exists in your Salesforce account (or create/assign a new one).

A Sync Error notification is displayed on the Integrations page with the tooltip: Error running Salesforce sync

This error may be caused by the following issues:

  • A previously mapped Private Panels property was deleted. To resolve, open the Configure sync modal and re-map (or remove) the synced property.

  • The type assigned to a synced Salesforce field changed. To resolve, open the Configure sync modal and re-map the field to a compatible Private Panels property. Alternatively, if possible, change the field type back in Salesforce.

  • Salesforce permissions have changed for the user who initially configured the integration in your Private Panels account. To resolve, disconnect the integration and re-connect using another Salesforce account.

An error is displayed during initial setup: You do not have permission to take this action.

This error is displayed to non-Admin users who attempt to connect Private Panels to Salesforce. To set up the integration, speak with one of your Private Panels admins.

If the above guidance doesn't help, reach out to your Account Director or the Dscout Support Team for assistance.
