# Client lists

## Email Quality

Client lists have various levels of quality, which means some email addresses you are given can have a low bounce rate (0-3%), and some can have a high bounce rate (5%). **When you send a client list, we will monitor the quality of the list if it adheres to** bounce rate limits. We request that you clean client lists through a bounce-checker, such as [Emailable](https://emailable.com/); while it won't reduce bounce rate to 0%, it should help.

## Uploading To Your Panel

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Create a new [panel property](/private-panels/panel-management/panel-properties.md) titled "Client List" (use Text as the data type).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
In your CSV file, create a column titled "Client List". Then in all the rows below this column header, put the same value (e.g. client-list-company-abc). This way, you can filter the panel and find these respondents, and later delete them from your panel.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Then, [upload this CSV](/private-panels/panel-management/create-upload-and-manage-panelists.md).
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Then [filter the panel](/private-panels/panel-management/panel-filters-and-segments.md) by this "Client List" property to find your uploaded sample.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## Best Practices

When you send an email to the client list, your recipient is likely not expecting this email, so we recommend mentioning that you are emailing on behalf of the client within the body of the message.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.dscout.com/private-panels/panel-management/client-lists.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
