# Track panelist IP and country

## View collected data

Private Panels automatically creates two panel properties **Registration IP** and **Registration Country** to track panelist origin. These properties are automatically updated during panelist sign-up, or when they first answer a screener. You can view a panelist's IP address and country by opening their profile then scrolling down to **Registration IP** and **Registration Country**.

To track IP for a Study Screener, follow [this guide](/private-panels/studies/duplicate-ip-protection.md).

The **Panel Panelists** page supports sorting and filtering for these panel properties.

These two panel properties can also be used to restrict your screener's availability in certain countries. More information about this can be found on our [Restrict availability by country](/private-panels/panel-management/restrict-availability-by-country.md) guide.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://help.dscout.com/private-panels/panel-management/track-panelist-ip-and-country.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
