What's been released, changed, and improved across the Dscout platform

New release

Build and analyze research in your favorite AI tools

With the Dscout MCP, you can build, field, and analyze studies without ever having to leave your AI workflow. Connect your Dscout account to tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Figma Make, and more so you can spend less time context-switching and more time finding insights.

For more information, see Dscout MCP.

The Dscout MCP is available as part of the Dscout AI add-on. Reach out to your Dscout Account Director for more information.

ImprovementBug fix

A refreshed look for AI moderated study sessions

Participants in AI moderated studies now see an updated session experience, including a single, unified toolbar, a clearer output panel, and a live voice waveform so they can see their voice being picked up as they talk.

For more information, see AI moderated studies.

Other improvements

  • Card sort responses now export with a full transcript of the task, the same way other question types already do.

Bug fixes

  • Previously, task URL previews occasionally failed to load for live websites, showing an error even though the site was working fine. Now, a failed preview doesn't stop you from adding a real URL.

  • Previously, calendar invites for interview sessions sometimes went to users not assigned to those sessions. Now, invites only go to moderators and participants for a given session.

ImprovementBug fix

Smoother invites in diary and interview studies

When adding participants to launched diary or interview studies, they are now automatically invited to the study. Previously, participants were first added to an "invite queue" without invites actually being sent, which required an additional step.

For more information, see Add participants to a diary study or Add participants to an interview study.

Bug fixes

  • Desktop browsers are now correctly blocked from joining mobile interview studies. Previously, mobile interviews sometimes allowed joining from a desktop browser.

  • The Paid via Dscout option is no longer displayed when a study is set to Add from Private Panels. Previously, this option was incorrectly displayed for this recruitment approach despite not being supported.
