With Dscout AI, you can get a jump start on analysis by exploring your data in an unstructured, interactive chat. Ask questions about your data, define the specific context, and let Dscout AI find the answers. Then, use the data and sources provided by Dscout AI to dive deeper in participant responses.
To explore your data with Dscout AI:
- Navigate to the Responses tab of your mission.
- Click Explore your data in the bottom right corner of the page.
Now, a chat window opens in a new tab. Want to quickly identify pain points in a user flow? Need a handful of quotes that support a new marketing strategy? Just enter your question and let Dscout AI do the rest.
Define chat context
When exploring your data with Dscout AI, you’re in total control. That means you can tell it exactly which questions to reference when answering your questions.
Each question from your study is listed in the left sidebar. All questions are selected by default at the start of your session, but you can select or deselect specific questions here to have Dscout AI only focus on those.
Review response sources
When Dscout AI provides a response, it will cite its sources so you can take a closer look at where the data came from. Sources lead directly to individual participant responses so you can see the larger context.
To review response sources:
- Click See more beneath the response from Dscout AI. A list of sources is displayed.
-
Select a source to open that participant’s entire response in another tab.
Tip: Take note of the question number beside the response you select. This will help you locate the applicable question in the participant’s response. - In the participant’s response, scroll to the question number referenced on the list of sources.
Here, you can view the full context Dscout AI pulled from to provide its response. Dive deeper into what your participants had to say to uncover additional insights.
Copy chat responses
If you want to share one (or all) of Dscout AI’s responses from a chat session, you can copy them to your clipboard. Click the Copy button at the top of the chat window to copy your entire thread. Or, click the Copy button beneath an individual response to copy just that response.
Now, you can paste the response in whatever format is easiest for you to share—Slack message, email, etc.
Rate chat responses
To help improve the quality of Dscout AI’s responses, you can rate every response it provides to you. If a response was good, give it a thumbs up. If a response was bad, give it a thumbs down.
Submitting your feedback will help us continuously improve Dscout AI across all of Dscout, not just when exploring your data.
