Require double opt-in

By having panelists opt-in twice to joining your panel, you give them a second chance to verify their information—and to confirm that they do, in fact, want to receive any communications you may choose to send them in the future.

When double opt-in is enabled, panelists must complete an additional step during registration: After signing up, they'll receive a confirmation email containing a verification link to activate their account. If a panelist doesn't confirm their email address using this link, they won't receive any communication sent through Private Panels from your organization.

To enable double opt-in:

1. Navigate to the Settings page of your Private Panels account.
   
   

2. Under Panelist registration, set the Require double opt-in toggle ON. A confirmation modal is displayed.

   Note: When enabling double opt-in on accounts with existing panelists, you'll be required to enter Enable double opt-in in this modal to confirm. This change will only apply to new panelists. All existing panelists will automatically be marked as Opt in confirmed.

   

3. Click Turn on to confirm.

Now, all panelists will be required to verify their email address as a second form of confirmation that they wish to join your panel. You can view whether a panelist has completed this additional step from the Panelists tab within any of your Private Panels.
