Expressiveness is a sorting capability that Dscout has created specifically to help you sort through your screener applications and Diary entries in order to find the most thorough participant responses, whether for finding a good fit for your mission or finding a great response for your analysis.
Expressiveness is determined by a proprietary machine learning algorithm. It takes into account, among other things:
- Linguistic features of participants’ open-ended and video responses
- Metadata from their videos
- Their ability to follow instructions
To sort by expressiveness in screeners, usability tests, and media surveys, navigate to the Participants view (Responses tab), click the filter to the right of Participants (the down arrow next to three horizontal lines), then select Expressiveness.
Don’t forget to also filter by closed-ended questions and demographics, to make sure you’re focusing on the participants and topics you need.
Diary:
To sort by Expressiveness in Diary: Expand the "Sort by" section in the top right of the Entries Grid in Diary, then select Expressiveness. Participants will automatically be sorted from most to least Expressive.
