Participant Balance

Balance can be toggled in the Participants tab of your Express mission or Screener. This feature can be used to ensure a balanced sample across major demographics (i.e. age, ethnicity, gender). When enabled, samples within each segment cannot exceed 65%.

• Ethnicity Segments
  • American Indian or Alaska Native
  • Asian
  • Black or African American

  • Middle Eastern or North African
  • Native Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander
  • White
  • Prefer to self-identify
  • Prefer not to say

• Gender Segments
  • Woman
  • Man
  • Non-binary
  • Prefer to self-identify
  • Prefer not to say

Once the balance filter has been toggled on, you'll also be to click on Customize Ethnicity Balance to further customize your participant pool.
