You can use the Dscout MCP in AI tools already incorporated into your workflow. This includes Figma Make, Claude, and more. Follow the steps below to set up the MCP in your tool of choice.
Regardless of AI tool, the Dscout MCP URL endpoint is the same:

Connect to the Dscout MCP
You'll need an active Dscout account to use the Dscout MCP. You'll be prompted to authenticate in the browser using your existing Dscout credentials during initial setup.
Claude
To set up the Dscout MCP in Claude:
- Create a custom connector with the name
Dscout. - Enter the Dscout MCP URL:
https://app.dscout.com/astro/mcp - Click Add.
Now, the Dscout MCP is available as a custom connector in Claude. You'll be prompted to authenticate using your standard Dscout credentials.
Claude Code
To set up the Dscout MCP in Claude Code:
- Run the following command in your CLI:
claude mcp add dscout --transport http https://app.dscout.com/astro/mcp - Run
claudein your CLI to open Claude. - Run
/mcp. A list of your enabled MCPs is displayed, with Dscout showing asNeeds authentication. - Select Dscout and press Enter.
Now, the authentication page is displayed. Grant the MCP access to your Dscout account, logging in with your standard Dscout credentials if prompted.
Figma Make
To set up the Dscout MCP in Figma Make:
- Create a custom connector with the name
Dscout. - Enter
https://app.dscout.com/astro/mcpas the MCP server URL. - Click Connect.
Now, the Dscout MCP is available as a custom connector in Figma Make. You'll be prompted to authenticate using your standard Dscout credentials.
Codex
To set up the Dscout MCP in Codex:
- Add a custom MCP server named
Dscout. - Enter
https://app.dscout.com/astro/mcpas the URL. - Click Save. You're returned to your list of Codex MCPs.
- Click Authenticate beside Dscout.
Now, the authentication page is displayed. Grant the MCP access to your Dscout account, logging in with your standard Dscout credentials if prompted.
Verify your connection
Once you've connected to the Dscout MCP, verify your connection is working as expected by prompting your AI tool in the following ways:
What studies are currently launched across my Dscout projects? You'll see a list of launched studies, including parent project, study type, number of entries, and launch date.
How many responses have I gotten in my most recently launched study? You'll see the number of submitted responses for the study you launched most recently.
Show me the most recent entry submitted to my [study]. You'll see the most recent response for your requested study, including the participant's name, submission date, and key takeaways from their response data.
What was one common thread across responses in my [study]? You'll see an underlying theme that appeared across participant responses in your requested study, including supporting quotes and participant names.
Create a new Dscout usability test for me. You'll be prompted to enter some basic details about your study (study name, desired project, etc.) and to answer questions about your research objectives.
