Study templates
From question sets to incentives, research initiatives may share common elements. Instead of building screeners or studies from scratch every time, templates can help expedite the process. You can build a template from scratch, or save an existing screener or study as a template, so you and your team have a starting point for the next one.
Users with the Collaborator role can't build studies from scratch, they must always start from a template. So, building templates is how you can enable them to run research on their own.
Template types
A template can represent a single screener or study, or combine both in one template:
Screener templates: Standardize recruitment criteria and audiences.
Study templates: Standardize study objectives, questions, and tasks.
Screener and study templates: Standardize both recruitment criteria and study objectives in one.
Templates also offer mix-and-match functionality. For example, if you want to auto-recruit participants for a usability test from the Dscout Scout Panel, you can pair a usability test template with a screener template. That way, you can standardize your recruitment needs alongside your study design.
Template library
Templates created across your Dscout account live in the template library, which you can access in the left navigation sidebar:
Here, you can see all templates created by you or your colleagues. Hover over a template to see its device type or target country (if applicable). Or, click a template to see even more information, including a description, question previews, and more:
If you have a draft template, you'll see that marked with a Drafting chip:
To continue drafting your template, click the template to open its preview modal, then click Continue drafting.
And for templates you've created, you can access these Options directly from the template library:
Edit template.
Edit settings.
Duplicate template.
Copy link.
Delete.
