Research happens in many different languages. So, you can customize your interview study to use the language your participants are most comfortable with. When you select a language for your interview study, Dscout will automatically use that language in the following places:
- Automated emails and reminders sent to participants.
- Any hard-coded text in the Dscout app (like buttons and menu options).
- Automatic transcripts generated for each interview session.
You can select from the following languages:
- English.
- German.
- Spanish.
- French.
- Mandarin/Simplified Chinese.
- Japanese.
- Korean.
- Portuguese (Brazilian).
- Italian.
To set the language of an interview study:
Note: You cannot change the language of your study once it’s launched. Be sure you’ve selected your desired language before you open it to participants.
- Navigate to the Setup tab of your study. Then, select Details.
- Click anywhere in the Specs section.
- Select a language from the Language drop-down.
- Click Done.
Now, the language of your study is saved. Any automated study emails and reminders sent by Dscout will use your selected language.
Tip: Keep in mind any text you enter to customize your study (like your study’s name and overview) will not automatically be translated. Enter this text exactly as you want it to appear to participants.
